Nathan Brand - Senior Pastor

I grew up in Oakland, California and moved to Chicago in 1992, graduating from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with an M-Div. in 1995. I met my beautiful bride, Carrie in Chi-Town and got married in 1999. We have three daughters: Bailey, Madison and Emma and a ferocious watch dog, Teddy.

A few of my favorite things are:

  • Oakland A’s Baseball

  • Nebraska Football

  • the musical Les Miserable

  • cheering on my kids in their endeavors

  • an ocean beach on a sunny day

  • listening to Christmas music while watching the snow fall

I have served as a College Minister in Santa Barbara, CA, Singles and then Interim Worship Pastor in Gurnee, IL, Worship & CE Pastor in North Platte, NE and now as Senior Pastor of Berean Community Church.  A few lesser known but no less significant facts about me:

  • I have a BA in Dramatic Art from UC Davis

  • I am the shortest male in my family

  • My kids call me the ‘fun’ parent

  • I like Coke more than Pepsi

My life verse is Psalm 16:2 (NIV) ‘ I said to the LORD, “You are my Lord ; apart from you I have no good thing.”’
